New Years is a perfect day to bask in, healing the ripple effects of the night before, which means cooking is definitely not on the agenda.

But sometimes the day calls for something a little better than a takeout pizza to mark the start of the New Year in style – and what better way to celebrate the first day of 2022 than with a meal out. ?

However, it can be difficult to find a restaurant that hasn’t closed for the holidays, with many hospitality teams taking a much-needed break during the holiday season.

However, all hope is lost, as some restaurants in Bristol will still be open and serve their famous food for your viewing pleasure.

Here’s where you can get your fix of dining on January 1.

Osteria

Cabot Circus

L’Osteria is a very popular Italian restaurant in Bristol’s shopping district, serving pizzas that are just too big to fit on a plate.

The pizzeria will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

Purezza

Gloucester Road

Purezza, the UK’s first vegan pizza chain, opened a site in Bristol in September 2020 which has taken off. It will be open for dinner from noon to 11 p.m. on New Years Day.

The delicacy of the dragon

Eastgate Road

If Chinese cuisine is more to your liking, there aren’t many places that do it better than Dragon’s Delicacy, which will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on January 1.

The Ivy Clifton Brewery

Clifton

The Ivy will serve its delicious dishes from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on New Years Day, but it’s best to book as it’s likely to be as popular as ever, even on a public holiday.

The real greek

Cabot Circus

The Real Greek is a magnificent Cabot Circus restaurant serving the best of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.

You can visit on January 1 as it will be open during its usual hours from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

San Carlo

Corn street

San Carlo will serve its premium fare from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on New Years Day, with options including pizza, pasta, and platters to share.

Flour and Ash

Route des Dames Blanches

Flour and Ash reopened in a stunning new location on Whiteladies Road earlier this year after a shock closure during the pandemic, and you can spend your holidays there enjoying its delicious pizza and pasta dishes. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.
