Pensacola Symphony Presents: Celebrate the New Year!

New Year’s fireworks

Friday December 31st at midnight. Walk on the beach of Pensacola. Keep your eyes on the Pensacola Beach skies this New Years Eve for a free fireworks display along the Pensacola Beach boardwalk. At the stroke of midnight, a dazzling play of light, provided by the Beach Chamber, will take place overlooking the Strait of Santa Rosa from the Pensacola Beach promenade. More info:


13th edition of the Penguin Plunge ‘n Paddle

Ecological walk on the beach

10 a.m. on Saturday, January 1. Pensacola beach. Join Healthy Gulf for a New Years Day beach hike as they celebrate the arrival of 2022 along the sands and shifting waters of Santa Rosa Island. The hike will explore the changing plant communities and life along the shore. Participants will learn about life on land and in the water by examining what washed up on the shore, including seeds, seashells, plants, fish, crabs and other objects both natural and man-made. . Fifth Annual Pirate Dive

Flora-Bama Polar Bear Dip

Saturday noon January 1st. Flora-Bama Lounge and Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. After celebrating the New Year at Flora-Bama, start the New Year by diving in the Gulf of Mexico. The Flora-Bama Polar Bear Bath is the New Year’s Day event along the Gulf Coast. Groups and families gather in costumes, swimsuits and wetsuits to feel the salt water on their faces. Polar bear dive

2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 1. Paradise Bar & Grill, 21 Via de Luna Drive, Pensacola Beach. Head to Pensacola Beach and dive head first into the Santa Rosa Strait during the annual Polar Bear Plunge. Hundreds of divers and spectators, many in disguise, flock to the beach to participate in this long-established tradition. Registration begins at noon and the fee is $ 15. Participants will receive a Polar Bear Plunge t-shirt or a $ 10 registration donation to participate without the t-shirt and $ 5 Cub Club for children aged 5 and under. More info:


BARE Post-New Years Ball

8:00 p.m. on Sunday January 2. Seville neighborhood, 130 E. Government St. The biggest event of the year for bar and restaurant workers returns.
