Rapper Kodak Black has been arrested in Florida for alleged trespassing on New Years Day.
The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, has “reached contact” with members of the Broward Sheriff’s Office around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1 in Pompano Beach, where the rapper grew up, report says by the Sentinel of the Sun. He was arrested and charged with trespassing.
He was transported and incarcerated at Broward Main Jail, although he posted bail and was released the same day.

Kapri has faced previous weapons and drug charges. In 2020then-President Trump commuted Kapri’s prison sentence, which he had served about half of his 46-month sentence for forging a document for a weapons purchase.
Kapri has also been praised for his outreach and philanthropy. On June 11, 2021, Broward County proclaimed that June 11 would be “Kodak black dayacknowledging his efforts, such as covering the tuition of three children of the two FBI agents killed in a raid in Florida in February and donating $ 100,000 to the Nova Southeastern University School of Law at the memory of Meadow Pollack, who was killed in 2018. Marjory Stoneman Douglas the school shooting, among other philanthropic acts.
