Los Alamos High School is proud to announce that three varsity cheerleaders, Megan Martinez senior and freshmen Allyson Harbert and Sophia Sisneros, will represent Varsity Spirit, the worldwide leader in cheerleading, dance team and teams, camps and competitions, and a division of Varsity Brands, the market leader in team sports, school spirit and achievement recognition, at the New Year’s Day Parade in London, England, from December 26, 2022 to January 3, 2023.

The cheerleaders, dancers and drum majors invited to perform at the New Year’s Eve parade in London are among a select group of Americans identified at Varsity Spirit summer camps across the country. All-Americans are based on superior cheerleading, dancing, or drumming skills as well as leadership skills at camps run by the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), Universal Dance Association (UDA), National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), the National Dance Alliance (NDA). ), United Spirit Association (USA) or Urban Cheerleading Experience (UCE). Los Alamos Topper Cheerleaders attended a UCA camp at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs from July 11-14 where Allyson, Megan and Sophia were selected as All-Americans. Only the top 12% of cheerleaders and dancers at Varsity Spirit camps have the chance to participate in a performance of this caliber.
