Universal’s New Years Eve event returns to Universal Studios Hollywood this year.
The park has announced details of its “Eve” event, which is included in entry to the park on December 31st. Universal Studios Hollywood will remain open until 2 a.m. on January 1, 2022 for the event, which includes a fireworks display as New Years begins at midnight. .

Before the fireworks launch, the party zones will begin at 9 p.m. near Jurassic World (Latin), Springfield (EDM), and Universal Plaza (Pop / Rock / Hip-Hop). Special cocktails, beer, wine and champagne will be available for purchase in each party zone, and photo ops will be available in the park.
Additionally, Universal Studios Hollywood will continue its vacation attractions throughout the day and into the evening, including Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Christmas Magic at Hogwarts Castle in Hogsmeade and Grinchmas at Universal Plaza.
Every year I get something between amused and frustrated with newcomers to the Los Angeles area who complain that LA doesn’t have a big New Years party like it does in Times Square in New York City. But with massive events at Universal and Disneyland, not to mention the traditional gathering of tens of thousands of revelers along Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena while waiting for the Rose Parade the next day, Southern California offers some of New Year’s biggest gatherings. Year of the country. .
But with Disneyland already booked for the evening and spending the night on a Pasadena sidewalk not as fun as partying at a theme park, Universal may be the first choice to celebrate the arrival of 2022 in the LA area. And if you remain concerned about health safety in large crowds, keep in mind that Universal Studios Hollywood requires proof of vaccination or a recent negative Covid test to enter. Face masks are also required when visiting the park, per Los Angeles rules.
Universal Studios Hollywood annual pass holders who are stranded on December 31 can purchase tickets for $ 84 and tickets after 6 p.m. for $ 64 via the Universal website. General public tickets are $ 134 through Universal, but Theme Park Insider readers can get tickets for $ 120 on our partner. Universal Studios Hollywood Tickets page by selecting General One Day Admission, then selecting December 31 from the dates menu.
